Senior Data Engineer

Salary:  £50,790 - £58,338

  • Lead on the creation of business and user value from data by undertaking significant engineering projects which improve and combine data from back office and customer-facing systems.
  • Set standards, mechanisms, frameworks and processes to ensure that RBKC data, and data shared by others is of the highest quality, highly available, usable and shareable by rigorous standard setting and quality control.
  • Work with data professionals to build products and services which deliver continuous insight and value to our staff and residents.
  • Lead data projects, including leading and managing external suppliers.
  • Use the best of modern data technologies and platforms, including ongoing investigation and research into emerging technology.
  • To implement data flows and data products to connect operational systems, data for analytics and business intelligence (BI) systems.
  • To build data systems, documenting source-to-target mappings, and re-engineer manual data flows to enable scaling and sustainable usage.
  • To develop and construct data products and services and integrate these into systems and business processes for use by data analysts across the council.
