The role monitors, analyses, assesses and reports on cyber and information threats and risks across the Council either resolving, escalating or recommending another course of action dependent upon the severity of the threat or risk.
The role holder will be expected to utilise their knowledge and expertise in order to advise on the most appropriate security strategies to maintain the confidentiality, integrity, availability, accountability compliance of systems whilst balancing the needs of the organisation to effectively and pragmatically serve the needs of the residents, businesses and stakeholders.
The role holder will also help the organisation comply with legislation, regulation and relevant standards.
