In the role of Disrepair Surveyor your duties, of which experience is essential, will include but not limited to:
- Responsible for carrying out surveys as part of a dis-repair claims being made by tenants.
- Preparing and reviewing discloser documents.
- Carry out property inspections and provide advice to social housing landlord on whether claims were genuine.
- Good time management, working within protocol time frames, meeting all deadlines.
- Good communication skills, collaboratively working with internal departments such as legal.
- Preparing expert witness reports in the Scott schedule format.
- Attend joint inspections with the tenants solicitor’s surveyor.
- Putting together a specification for any works required as part of the new Fit for human habitation act 2018.
- Carry out a post inspection and sign off works, keeping a photographic record.
Requirements:
- Applicant must be RICS or associate RICS in Building Surveying.
- Experience of working with housing providers.
- Experienced expert witness, willing to attend court to defend claims.
Hybrid role.
