This new and exciting role is responsible for developing and implementing our strategic business plan to ensure the orderly mobilisation, transition and mobilisation of the Council’s Leisure Centres that supports a sustainable and commercial business model, producing future growth, increases in community participation and strengthening of our integrated wellbeing offer.
You will lead the Leisure Service operation of c200 staff on a day-to-day basis, through the six live leisure centres, increasing to seven when the new St George’s facility opens in c. 2025. You will manage the delivery of activities through the leisure centre estate with your management team responsible for ensuring the Service achieves its strategic and operational objectives.
You will be analytical, creative and strategic with experience in delivering a commercially viable business model in leisure service. You must also have knowledge of leisure operational practices to support the development and growth of a new leisure service, including digital applications.
Delivering excellent customer service is essential including monitoring the performance and impact of all leisure operations and community engagement activities that meet or exceed all specified financial, quality and performance standards (i.e. Budgets, Key Performance Indicators).
